Package Tray Question
« on: August 05, 2016, 09:15:39 PM »
When i first bought my car I had no intention of taking it to the level of "Correctness" that I have. It all spiraled out of control at a carlislie event a few years ago where i left my original am radio with a restorer to covert to FM. Anyways at the time i made a new package tray from the original type material and covered it with vinyl, installed a pair 6x9's and used the CPC period correct grilles and correct mounting hardware. Ive been debating on removing them so that its more correct however that project was rather expensive. Im about to enter my first locally MCA Judged show in Occasionally Driven. Being I have the Period grilles would i take a hit for that or should i just remove it and put in an original looking piece? The picture only shows one of them but there are two installed.

in that class you are not judged on authenticity, just workmanship, condition & cleanliness. good luck in your show efforts!
