1970 Mach 1 Roof Ornament yes or no?
« on: July 21, 2017, 09:22:44 PM »
Car 12/69 0T05M Mach 1

Its had a bad repaint.  Collecting parts for the restoration.  My 70 has roof ornaments fitted (round pony style as on 69's).

Did the 70 year model mach 1 have these roof ornaments.  I am hoping not so I can save a few bucks :-)

I have not tried to remove them yet - guessing that if they are not normally fitted they will have been affixed by some means other than the steel pins on the 69.

Thanks in advance.

Believe that they were a one year only detail not repeated in 1970.

Yours are their likely because someone didn't know any better (all Mach Is are suppose to have these things) or a prior owner just liked the look. Be happy that they didn't add the fake quarter scoops  ::)

Too bad someone couldn't wait to get the repainted engine parts on the car before the paint dried :(

Interesting color combination
