What is the correct finish on gas tank straps? This question leads to a different story when I know the answer

Don't know how this one got over looked

Looking at pictures of unrestored cars I found the following

1971 J code

And two 1973 examples that appears to have the same finish

I choose to do mine in semi-gloss black

SG Black. Calypso Coral original paint 71 Boss. Restored bottom, but very nicely done. I had pictures of this car from Bob Perkins shop prior to the bottom restoration but they are on a different computer.

I remember that car and that show. Likely have some pictures of it from the show (surprise)  but not many since it was a fairly busy weekend as usual

I took a ton of pictures of it at the Indy show.  I have several from Perkins shop as well, but it was hard to move around the car to get all of the information I wanted.
