Blower Motor
« on: December 23, 2010, 01:05:53 AM »

Looks like gray paint. I imagine it would have been covered entirely with sealant? Did all the motors have tape around them? I'm not finding any evidence of any tape.

I suppose the black paint could have faded to gray? I have always seen the motors painted black with the tape used. I have seen many where the tape has come off . If I remember correctly the engineering drawings indicate the tape was supposed to be applied . Bob

Agree with Bob, probably just faded paint or old sealer.

Thanks guys!!!   Just thought I'd check since we recently discussed gray proportioning valves.

By the way, I did find evidence of tape... Most of the things are original on this car so I wasn't happy until I found some.  :D It took some twisting and mirrors but I found it hiding on the bottom of the motor!
