Rear spoiler for 70 Mach I
« on: November 30, 2009, 01:30:40 PM »
Guys,

The rear spoiler currently on my 70 Mach I is apparently an early repo.  It is bloated looking and the texture looks like an aligator hide.  What should I expect to pay IF I can find an original?  What should I be looking for when checking one out?

Now let's assume I don't find one or if I do I decide not to take out a second mortgage to buy it.  I'm told the NPD repo is the best way to go.  Agree?  Comments?

I'm not even convinced that I like the look of the rear spoiler but until the day comes when I can fix and repaint, those holes in my trunk lid need something to fill them.

Thanks, Drew

The original had a textured paint IIRC so that may explain your alligator hide, and the originals always looked sort of 'puffy' to me. Maybe you have an original.

No, turns out it was a bad repo.  Got the NPD one now and it is much nicer.
