Ford distributor restoration services
« on: February 02, 2010, 07:20:53 PM »
I offer a complete restoration service for Ford ( only) distributors built from '58 thru '78. Most of my service is performed for those that want factory new appearance. I do not sandblast the housings as that ruins the original finish. I offer a restoration service for the Autolite vacuum advance units also. Both the Autolite dual vacuum and single diaphragm types serviced. I stock over 200 distributors and TRY to keep some of the most sought after ones here. I try to offer reasonable rates and only the highest quality available. Please feel free to ask any questions about my service. Thanks, Tim O'Connor   To visit my website click on the small globe shown to the left!

Hi Tim,

I am Bryan Cobb, from Cartersville, GA.

bryan@llind.com

Shortly after the first of the year, I'm going to send you the OE distributor from my 66 C-Code convertible.

I have     |   C5AF  1212   N              |
             |                         FoMoCo  |
             |            6BB                     |

ENGINEERING NUMBER   C5OF-12131-A

I would like for you to work ALL your MAGIC on it, and make it LOOK and FUNCTION like BRAND NEW, including the period-correct vacuum advance canister on the front.  I THINK it's suppose to be a FoMoCo vacuum unit.
It will be a concourse driven class car.

I need your address and preferred method of payment.  Do you take PayPal?

How much damage $$$$$$ can I expect.  The distributor was working fine up until I removed it a ouple of months ago.  It has never been sandblasted but I cleaned it up with a green schotchbrite pad.

The engine has never been rebuilt and has 85k miles on it.  I bought the car in 1979, from the original owner with 60k on it.

Tim did mine for my 65 convert.  Charles referred me to him and I am very, very satisfied.

Tim rebuilt my 1969 428 4spd distributor, recurved the dist. and installed the correct vacuum advance.  Looks and operates perfectly.  Two thumbs up!!

Yup, he did mine earlier this year.  It looked brand new and I didn't have to adjust a thing on it (well, except timing!).
His e-mail is Tim O'Connor <tnpoc at netnitco.net>

I sure could use Tim's services.  What's his web address?  The link for the website above is no longer working.

Good news!  Tim is alive and kick'n.  I had an email exchange with him.  He's said he was trying to get caught up in the shop.  He is still filling parts orders from his website.
