Convertible Door Mirror Discussion
« on: August 03, 2013, 11:59:22 PM »
So, I just picked up an 88 Mustang GT Convertible and it has the Hatchback-Notchback Flush style door mirrors in the front corners of the door windows. It does not have the Flag Style mirrors that are typically seen on convertibles, including my 90 and 93 LX Verts, and the doors do not have a full frame around the top of door window like my 90 GT fastback which is typically what I see with the flush style mirrors. I'm pretty sure the 88 GT Vert I had quite a few years ago had the Flag mirrors.

I started this topic to discuss how/when these mirrors ended up on convertibles. Has anyone else noticed this difference and noted why both styles of mirrors were used?
