Heater Resistor switch
« on: October 29, 2010, 05:46:25 PM »
Is there a way to remove and reinstall the heater resistor switch from the heater case?  the original switch in my busted up case looks nicer and I would like to swap it but I don't see how I can save the plastic clips that hold it in place.

You can drill out and replace the plastic rivets. Here's a link to a previous thread.

The plastic pins can be pushed out from the back side and re-used.

Thanks Charles.  I had tried that but couldn't get them to move.  I just soaked them with WD-40 and then I was able to get them out.

Small tip screwdriver and a rubber mallet usually works.
