Just want to say thanks
« on: October 05, 2016, 11:06:22 PM »
I entered my 64.5 in its first MCA show at Myrtle Beach last weekend and walked away with a gold. There is no way I could have won any award without the help I received from everyone on this forum. This was my first restoration and I was really surprised to have placed at all. So thank you to everyone who mentored me through the process. You all built the car I just followed your lead.

Congratulations!  That is a major accomplishment. You don't know how many professional restoration shops strive to do just what you did, as a beginner. Well done sir!

Congrats!  Great accomplishment! I agree, the participants on this board are absolutely wonderful.  I have learned so much here (and am still learning) that I can't thank everyone here enough.  You all have my deepest gratitude.

Too bad we didn't meet.  I had the 64.5 pace car there and had finished the restoration on the '65 GT350 down at the end of the row.

I thought the Honey Gold car was about the closest match to the original color I have seen.

Congrads - don't see many that color so IMHO the car stood out from the crowd.

Well done and thanks for the kind comments about the members and the site

The Honey Gold belongs to Mike Sinyard. He painted both his and mine. Mike and I went down and looked at your pace car but you were not around. Very nice car. Anyway I am already signed up for Pensacola and KC next year. Hope to see everyone there.
