67 Dearborn 390 radiator question
« on: February 24, 2020, 04:29:05 AM »
I know the 67 BB radiator is a bit of a unicorn. I believe a C7ZE-Y2 would be the correct one for my December 22 build Dearborn 390 4 speed, no a/c. I also read that some time in December it switched over from C7ZE-D2.

Does anyone know for sure which one it is?

Of course I’d be ecstatic if someone had a lead on a rebuildable core ...

Checked what I have and can only offer the following. Change over (since it would not be dependent on other parts as part of the change was likely not mandated to a specific day but transitioned in as supplies arrived at each plant

- Don't have any 67 S code 4 speed buildsheets and cant' see the radiator stamping on the side strap once the radiator is in a car with ease as we can with San Jose for example

- At San Jose the change appears to have taken place between (actual date) Dec 14-21st

- At NJ (from buildsheets - so projected build dates) cars with dates as early as Dec 06 had the C7ZE D
