Engine bay paint overlap on slop gray
« on: July 25, 2017, 11:17:40 AM »
Anyone have a photo showing where engine bay paint overlaps slop gray? Was sound deadener applied to lower cowl area/ firewall before paint? Same question for sound deadener applied to outer fender aprons.   March 71 Dearborn car    Thanks

Sorry don't think I have one for that year and plant.

If your referring to the sealer applied to the firewall between the inner fender panels to seal all attachments and pass through - after all paint

Same question for sound deadener applied to outer fender aprons.

Guess your asking about the front wheel wells it was one of the last things done. Basically after the car was assembled but before wheels and tires installed

Rear wheel wells were done before body color and pinch weld

Depending on the model type floor was sprayed with sound deadener for some of those also
