Parking brake WTF

Front e-brake cable snapped on my 92 Summer car. The lever itself was a little loose so I eventually got around to replacing everything. I found that the front threaded block had torn through the sheet metal! PO must have spent a lot of energy over the years by yanking on the handle when setting the e-brake.  >:(
