Steel distributor vacuum line

 I'm curious if anyone knows if the steel vacuum distributor line has a flared end to hold it into the distributor fitting and carb? This would be for a 1966 Metuchen built car .

A brass compression nut, 351112-S, is used at each end.

Thanks , I do have those but even after tightening , if you pull hard enough it will move. That's why I was asking.

Yeah. If you look inside the holes, on both the carburetor and distributor, where the compression nut threads into, you should see an inward ring-like protrusion that deforms the nut and "should" keep the nut from pulling off the tube, which may deform as well. I have a couple of used vacuum lines that the nut is bonded to the tube and won't move. Remember, stainless tubes are harder and less likely to deform.

+1 on the stainless , that's why I never buy those.  ;D I'll just have to be careful not to hit it. Wondering how much vacuum I could be losing with a " loose fit"?
