The cowl braces from the firewall to the shock towers, are they suppose to have a reinforcement on the bottom of the brace? I have seen 2 different types. What is correct for an early built 1969 Mach1 351w with a/c

I have a 69 Shelby 351w with auto, and ac also built in dearborn april of 69. and we just had this discussion at one of the shows, and it would appear that the non-reinforced is correct for my car. I'm taking a leap and saying that since my car was born a Mach 1 like yours that they would be the same.

Jeff, I have a 69 Mach 1, 351W, air, p/s, p/b, FMX, royal maroon which is all correct for my car.  My shock towers have the reinforced shock towers.  Build date 01/07/1969 according to Marti Report.  Does the non reinforced shock tower braces apply to my car?

1970 Boss 302 built at Metuchen, NJ in October/November, 1969. Actually I have a LH side reinforced brace that I am pretty sure is original to the car. It has a date stamp that appears to be July, 1969. I need a similar RH cowl to shock tower brace. At present have a one piece brace on the car.
