65 HiPo Choke Cable

On a June 65 Dearborn car is there a grommet where the choke cable comes through the firewall or was it only strip caulked? When I got the car in 1977, there was only strip caulk but I realize that is not conclusive. Thanks, Al

Typically a rubber grommet.
