CHARLES/JEFF.

image from a unrestored v8 late 66 Dearborn mustang with drum brakes.

Question remains if he was looking for 65- 66- 67-68-69-70-71....... ?  details - Lots of years and variations.

Charles, would this hold true for Oct 64 as well?

Well, I couldn't say for sure.  Appears the foam was used on both.

Charles,
Forgot that this was from my Metuchen '66. Not sure of the build date.  Ser# 1853XX.
Regards,
Scott
Scott, what assembly plant was the foam gasket on a V8 found?  I disassembled 3 '65 San Jose cars, all built in late January/early February.  The V8's had the flat gasket and the I6 had the foam.

Anyone know what the thickness of this material is? NPD isn't sure when they are getting a supply in and thought I would just get a sheet of cork material.  Comes in either 1/16 or 1/8 thickness.

Believe its the 1 /16. That is the one I would use

Was able to separate it from the backing plate. Appears to be cork. Oct 29 64 build V8.
