1969 Buck Tags
« on: May 02, 2012, 10:37:50 PM »
Kind of a general question about buck tags and judging:

1.  Do they count for the over all originality of the car ?

2.  Do the judges actually compare the buck tag info to the car ?

3.  Most buck tags, I've seen, have been punched indicating some sort of approval.
Are the repro tags accepted  for judging ? Are they punched in the same fashion ?

     Thanks,  Brian

If the plant and year installed/used  them I would expect that the judges would look at them and deduct for them if missing. 1969 San Jose ones would be the only exception  IMHO since I don't believe we've identified when they were used.

They do and should if present

Some were others were not (punched)

Reproduction buck tags would be acceptable in those classes that allow reproduction parts to be used as long as they have the same look as originals.

Not sure if the reproductions come with all the punching and inspection stamps - sorry  never purchased one
