Dash Speaker Grille Screws Question - 1964 1/2
« on: November 12, 2013, 08:32:22 PM »
I did a search and didn't see anything.  In restoring my 1964 1/2 Convertible I started thinking about the dash speaker grille screws.  Are they chrome or the color of the grille?  The interior in mine was not original, it had been painted black.  The screws look to have been painted but I figured it was a mistake as there was overspray on everything.  Taking it back to original red, I put some chrome screws in the repainted dash grille and they look a bit odd to me.  It could be that it's just me comparing what I have now to what was there before, but they seem to really stand out instead of blend in.  Anyone have the correct finish information here?  Thanks in advance for replies.

chrome is correct.

And the chrome heads are real annoying when reflecting onto the inside of the windshield when the sun comes through the windshield.
