Correct '65 WHITE Fuel Pump Canister
« on: April 02, 2010, 10:23:54 AM »
Has anyone found a source for a correct WHITE fuel pump canister with the RED silk screened letters on it.  (This is for a '65 6 cyl.) Every repo I've seen are red with white lettering, and the service replacement ones are gold with red "Motorcraft" written on them.  I remember reading a discussion about these not too long ago.  Is anyone reproducing the proper white one?

Not sure how "correct" my method was, but I purchased the red repo one and had it stripped and painted white. I applied the decal for now until I decide to spring for the "stencil". By the way, the last NOS one I saw on ebay went for $115.

There has got to be a real stupid reason that no one is reproducing them in the correct colors.
I did the same thing with/for my 3939S pump on my '65 289 Hipo-looks good to me!
