rivets for Window Moldings
« on: April 07, 2010, 06:01:59 PM »
Hallo,

I have dicovered a source for matching rivets to re-install the often loosen or destroyed studs which fix original
the Mustang Window Moldings front and rear.

This ones can be fixed by drilling a hole and use of a a std. hand-riveter.

The rivets are made of aluminium.

If somebody is interested in, I am looking forward to provide you.

The price I pay is 0,95$ per rivet ... + shipping from Germany to USA ... maybe you will do an collective order to save postage.

Is there an option to have them made of steel?

Hallo Charles,

I do not find them in steel until now ... you have to be keen by installing those ones to take care that they will not get disformed,
thats important to say, thanx for your evidence  ;)

I have tried that out by my 66 Coupe and it works well ... the massure is correct and the hole in the body is waterproof.

Thanks for the reply.  I guess I was concerned that the aluminum might bend or get misaligned when the clip is pushed on.
