Warranty Card Holder location?
« on: September 20, 2017, 04:20:17 PM »
Found this in some paperwork today which is the dealer where the car was purchased. Looks like it was once screwed on somewhere. Was there a common place for these to be installed?

The most common would be in the owner's manual.

For 65-66 as Charles mentioned they were in the owners manual

Have seen three versions of the owners card.

1- The permanent one sent int he mail to the owner after the sale. Small plastic credit card looking design as shown below

2- A paper version One a temporary one

3- and a plastic credit card style with a metal copy (with out ink printing) glued to the bottom section

Below the owner info on the back of the first page of the owners manual print reminds owners to always keep their owners car in the glove compartment but have seen dealers design and install holders for the small metal door tag copy in other locations

I agree it was a dealer thing. I have a friend that has a unrestored 67 Plymouth Satellite that has a warrantee holder like that installed on the core support.
Nice find.

Thanks for the feedback. The round mark is 3/4" which matches the washer size for attaching the glove box door. The plastic card Jeff shows would appear to slide tight in. Obviously this wouldn't apply to all cars but something Cote Ford at least did.

The '66-'67 Warranty Cards didn't use a holder in the Owner's Manual like the '65 Owner's Manual, They were usually Stapled to the Front Cover or 1st page of the '66-'67 Owner's Manual for the most part, but I have found some that were not.  The Only '66-'67 Warranty card holders were those Metal clips found riveted to the top of the '66-'67 Glovebox.  Anything else was Dealer supplied similar to what is pictured by the Original Poster.
