Picked up an early 64.5 4100 carb, C4GF-AE. Dated third week of April, 1964 (4DC). Tag shown. Have the complete carb. All original, everything moves, etc. Any idea on the rarity of this carb, and a value in cleaned but unrestored condition?

That carb is shown in the Ford Carburetor Guide published by Pony Carburetors as being used on 1964 1/2 289CID 4 barrel engines with manual transmissions for Mustangs and Fairlanes. I would assume that Mercury Comets also used that from the "G" in the part number. P/N C4ZF-C is shown as an alternate. The date code indicates an early build and as the 289CID engine was a low compression type used in 1964 only, it is "rare" and has a specific application.
