69 is different than 70  and i thought they were also used as blowout weatherstriping clips.

Yes, Ed, I think you are correct.

Wow those would be some great cars, especially  the K convertible.

Looks like a long weekend project.

There's a 65 K-code, red with black interior, 4-speed with locking axle.  Of course just about everything is gone.  Might have clips!

A few year ago I pulled out a 68 Cougar R-code.  There are five 1969 Mach 1's.  GTO, Cyclone, 442, Charger... It is like walking back in time.

Marty : John "beat me" to the Part Number, but by a different method. Instead of the ASSEMBLY manual, I looked at the 1969 Standard and Utility Parts Book. Due to the uniqueness of the cLip, I figured it would be easy to spot. Sure enough, it shoed up (see attached). Note that there is a symbol shown before the part Number ; I couldn't find a legend for this symbol in the 1969 book, but I have a feeling that it might signify " Not Serviced - Factory Only". Then out of curiosity, I looked in the 1965 S&UP book ; it showed op there also (no symbol shown). Then I went back to my 1959 S&UP book (interestingly, the 1959 version also includes applications for most of the Hardware Part Numbers). The 358407 shoeed up in the 1959 with the application listed for the 1958 Convertible Top Storage Compartment. If the 358407 was "Not Serviced", this may help if you can't find a 67 that has these clips. Unfortunately, I won'y know if I have all of mine until I get to our Colorado place (where you may remember my 67 is) until June or July.

Hope this helps.

Bob

Thanks for the detective work. How is your car coming along?

Wow it is hard to believe that there are convertibles still in a junk yard. That must be a good one.

Yes, John that is it! Now to find some. It would be a pain to get off a junk car as it is under the top and well Linner.

Thanks again.

Most of the convertibles in this particular yard have had the tops removed, and I have power tools lol.  If you strike out elsewhere let me know.
