Rear Window Defroster - electrical repair
« on: October 02, 2017, 11:00:14 AM »
Now that cold weather is approaching, about to attempt repair of 2008 coupe rear window defroster.   At least one plastic connector (there are two - left and right rear) is broken and not making contact to the connector blade that's affixed to the rear window grid.

I have the genuine Motorcraft wiring pigtail kit:  WPT-371

To correctly cut and splice in the new pigtail, the interior plastic molding around the rear window needs to be removed or dislodged for access to the wiring.

Looking for clues on how to release the molding without damaging it.
