Title: 1967 GT500 Main engine compartment question.
Post by: 1967 eight barrel on March 15, 2015, 07:54:13 PM
The engine harness is mounted to the LH rear apron just after exit from the firewall. Is there a D style plastic clip like those used below the starter solenoid, strap clip or was there a push in style clip incorporated into the harness that pushes into a hole? If it matters, it's a Dec 66 build.

Yes there was a D style if you are talking about under the dash.

Had to take another look at my picture collection on this one ;)

If your referring to the engine side of the firewall once the main engine compartment exists the interior - no D shaped retainer or clip.

In that area I typically found on 67 San Jose two wire retainers and the loop under the firewall pinch weld as shown below. When there was something left to be found

Jeff:
Thank you.  That was what I remembered as well, a strap. There are two D style clips on the inside of the vehicle under the dash that holds the engine compartment feed.
