Title: Body OK ?

Working a 1970 Torino formal roof San Jose car, found the marking on the passenger side cowl area. Under the primer, means body is ready for paint? It's my guess.

Would have to find more examples to really know. Might be a confirmation of a repair (possibly the spot welds in that location) or something completely different.. Never had any of my 71 Ranchero's down that far to compare them

Have a picture of a 69 Mustang that was assembled at San Jose  (only one I have of this mark) that was applied to the drivers side firewall section of the wheel well. Not a common mark so doubt that one at least is an indication of the body is ready to paint or we would find the same mark on 90% or more of those cars.
