If I may add, my car is a 1970 Mach 1, Dearborn built Sept 4, 1969 and original shock tower bolts do not match any of the bolt head types shown, see pic
Mod Note: Post split from a fender bolt discussion to make it easier to find in the future

Those are typical of what I have seen on 70 dearborn cars.

Looking through my collection I found examples of early 70 Deaborn build Mustangs with the same pattern (single dot or dimple) only during that period. Not saying that they were not used later - just can't find any examples in my collection. Some of the following examples are from cars that are in their own unrestored picture threads here on the site while a couple are from members cars.

Looking through what I have I found allot of circle with spoke style and some small flags being used through the year

Thanks Jeff, good to know regarding the somewhat uniqueness of the single dimple bolts used on the early Dearborn built cars.
I was going to use AMK's bolts and nuts but will get mine re-plated and install them as they are in good shape.
