I'm working on my GT, just doing a tune-up and had a lot of trouble replacing one of the spark plugs on the passenger side. Bolted to two of the exhaust manifold bolts was some sort of lift/hook/ring looking thing... I have several '69 351W cars, although the others are all H-codes, and have not seen this before. Is this a factory lift hook, or something someone installed over the past 40 years when pulling the motor?
Thanks.

Something like the one below?
These were on every engine - but removed from most at some point

Yes, exactly like that! Thank you. It sure was a PITA to work around, but I thought it was kind of cool.
