Do you need to put any sealer around the transmission line fittings where they fit into the radiator. If so can you use the same type white stuff you use around the intake thermostat fittings?

i use the teflon sealer in a tube made by permatex. very to wipe off the excess that oozes out when installed.

You can use anything you like - just make sure you pick or brush out all the extra so the judges can see none of it. And the white stands out allot
