Mustang Enchantment MCA Regional in ABQ
« on: May 30, 2016, 11:24:51 AM »
Our 34th annual yesterday, great to see all the very nice cars (80 or so), and all the friends from Arizona, Texas, and Colorado attend.  Great judges training place too, to teach the proper etiquette and processes, I was glad to share my experiences of what not to do.......

I don't always downshift, but when I do it is near a Prius so they can hear me hurting the environment.

I wish I could have made it this year, but I'm leaving for Reno on Wednesday.

Thanks Laurie, we missed you, but had a great preview of the National next year in Tucson from your friends.  Have fun in Reno, I had planned to have the KR judged there, but alas the MCA judging situation is too worrisome at this point.

Sorry to hear you won't be attending. Class appears light this time :(

Being in town this time will make for a different atmosphere this time. Everyone have a safe journey

Thanks Jeff, I will continue to monitor how the MCA judging goes at Nationals this year, and maybe shoot for Tucson with my KR or Boss9, but I have been warned about it so need to pay attention to how it all develops.

I'm sure you do, but with comments like this from one of the highest level, most experienced MCA judges:

"It seems as though some do not understand what it means to join a club. The way it works in most of the classes in the MCA is most of the members who show their cars do the judging in other classes away from their car. Others classify cars, work in the tally room and aid with the many other tasks that it takes to hold a successful show. This is generally not the case in the Shelby and some other classes. These individuals only reason for joining the club is to have their car judged building a pedigree to insure that a prophet (sic) is made on their investment when sold.",

and worse from the Boss judge, some might get the idea there is prejudice and bias going on in the judging about the Shelby and Boss cars.
