You might be looking for a 4300 for that date of production. 289 engines with the 4100's were only available on Hi-Po applications for 67 Mustangs. That would be a very expensive request if that were the one you are seeking.

Yes, Richard, Could be that the carb I'm looking for is more expensive. But imho fits best (performance in line with 4V intake manifold and 289)

Nevertheless, using a 4300A, 441 CFM, 1.0, (1967-1969) might be an option.

Using a 4300A, 600 CFM, 1.25 (1968-1974) will possibly not fit, too big for a 289 engine. And definetly not from a built date point of view.

I will not change anything else than the intake, spacer and carb. Target: + 20 SAE HP.

Thx Ralf

If the 4100 was the factory equipped carburetor you would be looking for a C6ZF-B. Latest example I've recorded had a tag reading "B 6FB" (decodes: Change Level B - 1966 June 2nd week) below "C6ZF-B".

Great thx for your input.

If anyone knows where I can buy such a carb, I would be happy.

I'm also searching ......the internet and other sources, but not having success so far.

Contact Dan at Amwest Vintage auto parts in Phoenix.  He has some carbs running around.  Not sure which ones.

The C6ZF-B models come up pretty often on eBay. Wait for an unrestored/unmolested example. I would encourage you to stay clear of the media blasted jobs from rebuilders at sky high prices.

Completed listings for example on what has sold last 3 months:

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&LH_Sold=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=15&_stpos=90212&_dmd=1&_ipg=50&LH_Complete=1&_nkw=C6ZF-B&_sop=15

As far as the correct tag I think you could expect to search for 1-5 years for an original.
