Headlight buckets

I'm reassembling a '65 Mustang (San Jose, 2.16.1965) that's been apart for many years. Unfortunately both headlight buckets are missing and before I start my search for a pair of them I'd like to learn whether the buckets are interchangeable left side to right side, and whether the originals have any stampings that include production dates or FoMoCo Id on them. I'm trying to keep the car original, but if the buckets don't carry any stampings, I'll just order a pair from NPD. Thanks, Ron

No the sides are not interchangeable

Cant recall the back side details at the moment

There are a couple of part numbers on the backside of the "buckets", a FOMOCO logo and probably a casting date. Be advised that there are different part numbers for 64 and 65-66.

I apologize if I didn't correctly describe the part I need.  It's the steel Headlight Lamp Bucket, not the pot metal headlight extension assembly that holds the steel bucket.  Here's a couple pictures (I hope) of what I need with me pointing to the small, stamped FoMoCo oval:

I'm looking for one of those too (the right side) with that FoMoCo logo.... just in case you find something....I'll let you know in my case also.
