So Bob, would the order be from block to firewall, tooth washer, ground strap and then the transmission filler tube, then the bolt holding it all together?

Block to firewall? Maybe you mean ground strap wire to block/head? It should be tooth washer, ground strap, transmission filler tube then the bolt holding it all together.  Firewall side is similar. In that case the toothed washer, ground strap , then sheet metal screw holding it to the firewall. In each case the toothed washer is first against the surface that is to be grounded so it can dig into the metal better so as to get the best electrical connection .

Did this clip change in 66?  I saw a couple of examples while in Michigan but they attached to the bolt that holds the bell housing to the block...

Different clip, different routing, different side, different part number - but also not serviced. It "could" be the same clip used in 1967.

I’ve been looking for that clip for some time now.  It’s missing on my 65 Fastback.

This is what I saw in Detroit. And my friend gave me this clip but if it isn't right then the search continues.

It looks like the one I have in my hand that came of an Oct 65, San Jose build 66 GT. I need to put it back on the car. It was "restored" last month. The only reference and sketch I have is the 67 Mustang Chassis Assembly Manual (AM0020 P31) that references Ford P/N 7B085. (I-6 Ford P/N is 7B096, 390 Ford P/N is 70092 - I think the 390 P/N is incorrect.) None of the 7xxx Ford part numbers are referenced in the 75 MPC.
