Title: Starter Detail
Post by: OldMustangGuy on June 11, 2017, 08:19:04 PM
Does anyone have a photo of a correctly detailed starter that they can post? I'm primarily interested in how the paint fades at the attachment point.

Thank you!

Not too long ago I did the same but mine is an early type with an ink stamp. The later 67-up used a steel stamp into the starter motor case (harder to get date correct etc) but I cannot say when the change actually occurred but my understanding is late spring/early summer of '67

Thanks...I had previously checked out that thread. I'm hoping that somebody has a photo of a freshly done one.

These are shots of what I did on my starter recently. It is close to what you may have found on originals but I'm sure there is room for improvement in some of the finer details.
