Title: 68 Rear View Mirror Adjusting Arm Screws
Post by: OldMustangGuy on June 16, 2017, 07:04:14 PM
I can't find any verification of this on the forum but I was recently told that the 2 screws that hold the adjusting arm on to the windshield ball and the mirror, respectively should be pozidrive. Is this correct?...and, if so, can someone point me to a source for them as I can't seem to find the correct size from any of the hardware vendors that I can find.

Per the book, you need 2 ea 382617-S7-8 screws, 8-32X3/8 Phillips drive with a nylon insert. They "appear" to be available at AMK, F-861, $1.50 for 2.

I'm pretty sure that's what I'm using although I don't recall a nylon insert. They're available through most of the major vendors so I'll get another set and check them out.  Thanks!
