Lost points for interior color change?
« on: January 02, 2016, 04:17:12 PM »
we have probably all done it, I bought my first mustang with a tan interior didn't like it and put in a lovely black interior then bought the Marti report because I didn't know about the Marti report or data tag at the time, a found out that the original is Ivy gold
Will this obviously lose points in judging, if so how many? and in your opinion should I do the correction to the original colour?

Depends on where your showing the car - what organization or rules. Currently only some organizations are requiring Marti reports or other documentation to confirm original equipment but there is a chance more will require it over time.

In the long run the wrong interior in a car can effect the resale value of the car - another consideration.

The good side is (if you choose to) the interior is likely the easiest and cheapest area to change or at least its in the running for that position ;)

The brown interior looks striking IMHO in a green car when compared to a black one
