« on: May 30, 2017, 05:19:57 PM »
Does anyone have a picture of original seatbelt hardware on a fall of 64 built San Jose car?

Thanks
Chris

Here are pics of my hardware.  My car has a door tag build date of September 1964.

BTW, go by the dimensions written.  The photo is not a direct shot and makes it look like they are ~1/16" bigger

Hope this helps,

ok so this is what I currently have on my car.  The bigger washer is thin and goes between the seat belt and the top of the anchor bolt.  The smaller washer is actually thick and is between the seat belt and against the carpet or the rocker panel depending on which belt you are looking at.  Is this the correct setup?

Chris, have you checked the assembly manual?

No, I don't have the interior assembly manua as I never had an issue with the interior until now.

Seat belts are documented in the 65 Mustang Body Assembly Manual, page 45 (N5-8715).

Sorry no pictures of the hardware removed but may these can help in some way

In the first picture the plastic end has come undone from the rest of the assembly

I only have the one large washer and I installed it between the carpet and the belt.  I know mine to be a 1 washer set-up because mom (and I) are original owners and the car had never been restored until recently.
