Thanks Pete . I had brain fade and was only thinking about the gas lines as they related to this thread.  I should have qualified that with saying the all 67 and 68's with the cross over line had the protector. Bob

My guess and its only a guess, would be that the standard fuel line setup would foul against the staggered shocker setup of the manual 68.5s?

No the bend of fuel line is in front of rear wheel..
the staggered shock lines are different at the rearward of the wheel.
