Hi everyone,  I'm Ed (with the brown King Cobra).  Just found this site and wanted to update the discussion about the radio delete plate.
My King was ordered without a radio, it came with no antenna or speakers, and a radio delete plate.  In 1979, I installed a radio and discarded the delete plate.  Years later, I removed the radio and made a delete plate from an old mudflap with almost correct "camera case" pebble grain finish.  It fooled most everyone.  More recently, I was fortunate to locate a correct delete plate, which is now installed in the car.
