Title: MCA test
Post by: Falcopilot on October 02, 2017, 01:49:52 PM
Hi all.  I'm taking the test for MCA judging for the '79 - 93 class, it's 'open book' yet I'm having trouble finding two of the specific answers and if anyone would be willing to help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Here they are:

1. What was the last model year to offer both an AM/FM 8 track or AM/FM cassette player?  Has to be early, but I can't find a definitive answer.

2. What was the last year the BX58C battery had a white case and black top?

Maybe my search skills aren't what they should be, but these two are holding me up........I've got everything else. :o >:( ::)

Thanks in advance!

I believe 88 was the last year for the white case battery. It's not well documented any place that I know of.

The Fox recognition guide lists the 8 track as an option in 83 and not in 84.

The last year the Mustang BX 58C battery had a white case and black top was 1990.

I believe 1983 was the last year of the 8-track, as it doesn't show in the 1984 brochure.

Yes, 1983 was last year for 8-track option in Ford documents and I have found no 1984 and later door tag with the 8-track radio code (5).
