Shared these pictures on another site and thought I would post them here to maybe answer someones unasked question of fill a future need
Main body appears to be cad or zinc. The mounting tabs were galvanized and attached after the all the parts were plated. Not an easy detail to get clearly in a picture both from the contrast but from an age standpoint. Believe each picture is from a different car. Just turned out both were Candy Apple Red cars
