Hi Guys,
I have a question about aftermarket bearing insert. Actualy, I'm working on a 351 Windsor engine, cast n° C9OE-6015
and I ordered new bearing insert for crankshaft installation. As you can see on the picture below, I noticed their tabs don't match with notch in the caps (only caps).
Bearings in the block fits perfectly !
I checked item number of these parts and it seems to be oK. Do you ever seen that kind of problem ?
Do you have an idea, how to resolve it ?
Thank You for your help !
Franck

I went through this with my stroker motor. You need bearings for a 1969 motor. I think it was 1973 when they changed. Oil passage is cut on both bearings for 69 and on only one on the later motor. I hope my memory is correct.

Thank you for this information ! You're right, I found a second existing item number for 1969 engine...

I ordered mine from Summit. First they sent me the wrong year bearings, then they sent the wrong size. I believe this was a phone order.
