Title: carby id??
Post by: outlawincorporated on November 07, 2017, 07:30:56 AM
Hoping someone can advise/help on a recent find.
I got my hand on a 65 engine that seems to be very correct and date coded correct in areas.

while going through item I notices the carby was stamped differently to what I have seen previously.
it is correct 1.08 sized carby but the toe stamping is C5PF-D. the date under the base is 7/27/64

I expected to see C5ZF-D but the above code through me as I have no records of this being a mustang carby, possibly a misstamping??

As I recall the P stamped Autolites were service items.

Phil,
Download a copy of the 75 MPC - http://squarebirds.org/Manuals/1965/1965-72FordPartsTextCatalog/ It's 45 files, 430mb. I put mine in two directories, one parts, the other illustrations.
It will answer a lot of questions.
Jim
