Title: Door panel clips
Post by: CCP on November 10, 2017, 01:00:37 PM
Installing new pony door panels in a '66 GT. Question: are the door panel clips different for a standard vs. pony door panel.
The reason I ask is because I ordered new clips from,,well, a west coast T-bird and Mustang parts supplier, and the new clips are a little shorter than my originals. They are shorter in the 'u' shaped area that slides into the door panel. The new clips land slightly away from the holes in the door frame, and do not line up.
                    Thanks,    Pete.

They have a longer shank than the standard door panel clips.  VCM sells both styles.

AMK sells all styles. You need 6 ea 380552-S100 for the bottom and 7 ea 380552-S60 per door. (The dash numbers are different from the assembly manuals but the clips are the same.) There is a $30 minimum order.
