1985 SVO needing saved!
« on: December 16, 2014, 02:46:30 PM »
Hi, I'm new to this board so hope it's okay I'm posting about a SVO for sale here. I'm not into the turbo fox bodies but know a nice car when I see it. This SVO is for sale online through Copart in Somerville, NJ, but has no damage at all. I ran an Autocheck and found out it was a theft recovery that insurance company paid out on. I would love to see an enthusiast get the car instead of a breaker yard or used car dealer!!!

Take a look at the link, the car seems very intact except for a few small items like parking light lens on front grill.

http://ww2.copart.com/us/Lot/28875804?searchId=587574910

You do need a dealer's license to register on Copart but you can always talk with a local dealer and pay them a fee for bidding on the car for you. As of 12/16/14, current bid is only $775!

I hope someone on here can save this great car!

Thanks for posting pictures. IF we don't grasp and repost pictures from the original link - once they are gone the link is pretty much useless ;)

Just  thought

From the ad: "Odometer:  7,636  EXCEEDS MECHANICAL LIMITS". That's probably 107,636 or 207,636 miles and not 7,636, but it does look like it's in good shape no matter what the actual miles are.

Did somebody jump on it?  I tried to pull up the ad with the link provided, and didn't get anything.

Info says that the "general public" can register and bid.

Car still listed, shows a final sale date of 1/16/15. High bid still $775. Link worked for me but if yo have issues just go tp copart.com and search for '85 mustang to find.

I hope someone with knowledge of these turbo Stangs gets it!

priceless

Has anyone noticed it has a salvage title.

They must have received a new title because on the Autocheck I ran 10 days ago it didn't show "salvage."

I attached the Autocheck if anyone wants to look at it.

Very nice to see discussion on SVO here !    I don't think it hurts that an AD brought the views/interest or posts.

This is a 85.5 SVO that has been heavily worked on. Kapustinus Vilnis owned the car in New York before someone got it.

Most of these cars really need to be seen (any car for sale with salvage "post Sandy" IMO also.

Again glad you are talking about SVO's here.  Many vintage owners also own SVO's!   (It's funny I went from SVO to vintage)  LOL

Mark
P.S.  Note the 86 lower wing used on car from repaint timeframe.
