2015 Mustang Round Up and State Concours

The Victorian branch of the Mustang Owners Club of Australia Inc. (M.O.C.A. Vic Inc.) are proud to present the 2015 Mustang Round Up and State Concours.

We are anticipating approximately over 450 cars on display (weather permitting) ranging from the 1964 ½ model to the current day model including one of the first Right Hand Drive 2015 Models.  There will also be a display of racing Mustangs, a Shelby vehicle display, trade stands, parts & accessories vendors, cars for sale, food vendors and more.

There will also be cars entered into 3 Judged classes on the day:
- Original Driven & Showroom Class Concours for cars that are as they rolled off the factory production line,
- Modified Driven & Showroom Concours for street machine/restomod type cars.
- Show'n'Shine class is open either factory standard or modified type vehicles, however these vehicles are judged on how they are presented on the day.

Unfortunately all Judged classes are only open the M.O.C.A Vic. club members as various entry conditions apply. However non club members are more than welcome to come along and place their pony on display on the day.

When: Sunday 25th October
Time: Gates open from 10.00 am – 3:00 pm approx.
Where: Second Ave, Moorabbin Airport, Victoria 3194
Cost: $5.00 for Adults under 16 free, $2.00 for Mustangs
Contact: Adam Richmond

Our best wishes for a happy, sunny and no issues show.

Too bad it would cost so much to get one of the cars over for the show/display ;)

Thanks for the support and it would be interesting to see how the cars compare.  May be Charles could share some light as he attend this years Mustang Nationals in April.

The idea was not to bring a car to compare just to do something that hadn't been done before - though there have been a number that were shown in this country (over  the years) that afterwards were shipped over to your country.

Almost had an opportunity (for a couple of year there) to go to the Nationals in the 90's. Club just never got things worked out at that time.

I saw some nice cars at the last national there, although the majority were driven-type cars.  Judging the cars up on a lift was cool to see!

Unfortunately we don't have a hoist at this event to judge the cars but we do have trailer that has been specially designed for judging which can be towed to various events.  Would also love to take one of our cars through the MCA process and and ours to see how it compares in results.

Maybe I could use this as excuse with the Minister for Happiness to visit a show in US  ;D ;D

HERMAN.

There are 2 MCA GOLD CARD JUDGES within Australia who attend these shows but unfortunately the powers to be don't want or see a need to have those people assisting in the judging....  Old school mentality

And over the last couple of years Australia has had Mike Murray and Charles Turner here attending state and national shows.

Phil

Thanks for the info, however being involved with one of the shows you metioned I wasn't aware that one of the MCA judges was attending our show until the last minute and didn't get invited to the briefing that took place on the day.  In addition, I overheard someone else say the another MCA judge was walking around and would loved to meet them as they have been great help to myself over the years with both my cars.

Unfortunately it would appear something has gone wrong within communication side of things and I am sure we could talk more about this on the day of the Round Up.

It's a shame to hear that that is the case, you'd think all the support is needed to educate others/judges more so that the knowledge is passed along.

Well covered pics of the show Herman, thanks for posting!

Who was the guy that had the parts stand? Didn't have prices up so he must've been expensive ;)

JEFF.

I did a show and tell to a few people with two NOS items that always create issues and conversations. NOS (not cardboard) plastic heater plenum and a NOS woodgrain wheel.

though im always partial to the conversation of "where is the ford casting/part number on these 65.66 side seat moulds, cause if they don't have them they must be repos"

some people
