Headlight switch illumination
« on: November 27, 2018, 10:38:48 PM »
For any who have lost the backlight illumination (burned out bulb) in the 2005-2009 headlight switch (later years may be similar - I don't know):

The Ford parts counter says you must buy a new $80+ replacement switch, if you can find one.

But here's a useful repair:  Remove from dash and disassemble the switch, replace the burned out bulb with a commonly found microlamp.  I used #7219.  Works well so far!
