1979 Pacecar Restoration
« on: August 02, 2009, 03:42:20 AM »
If anyone needs help in restoring a 1979 Indy Pacecar I have lots of info on them. During the restoration process on my car I have found some very unique things about these cars. If you need info on seat material I have that too.

Wiring Harness is marked PACE CAR and appears to have extra connections?  at least the 302 cars do and I believe the Turbo 4 cars do also?
Can you explain a little?
Jake ???

Hmmm, This is very interesting. I haven't messed with my wiring harness as of yet. I have never seen a tag on it saying Pacecar. I know the seat belts are Pacecar specific by saying "Firestone" under the buckles and the shoulder harnesses have a tag saying "Indy Replica" in them. Never seen the wire harness though. One possible thought is the foglight harness as the Pacecar was the only '79 to have factory foglights, but that is a separate harness. Now I have something to look for. Thanks Jake!

Why don't you put together a list of those items and list them for others to see (current and in the future)?  Just a thought ;)
