Topic: 1971 Mach 1

Hey peoples, I am a newbie in here and was directed to this site by Smokey15.  I just bought a 1971 Mach 1 Feb 16th,  351C, M code motor with a C6 transmission. It was a friend of Smokey's that passed away back in Oct. I am 62 and this was at the top of my bucket list.  I wanted a 67 or 68 Fastback, but the price range of those were a little out of my range.  Anyways, I need some parts in trying to get everything right on the car and back to stock.  I am looking for the "kickdown rod" from the carb to transmission and also the shifter rod from the shifter to where it connects on the tranny where the kickdown rod connects.  I have other issues I could use some help, but will start with this for the time being.  I will be posting some pics soon  of it too

 Welcome. It was nice talking to you on the phone the other day. You picked up a nice car. You'd have liked Jack, the previous owner. He was a great guy who will be dearly missed.  I'm glad that his Mustang is with a good guy. Jack would approve. 
 The guys on this site (except me) are very knowledgeable. I'm sure someone can guide you to the correct parts you need.  Best to You.
