Chris, curious as to what the sprayed white mark on the passenger spring, mine Dearborn springs have exact color markings on both springs, yet one has an additional white markings (not sprayed though so could be a Dearborn thing).
Cheers

Things starting to pick up faster now.  New single exhaust is installed.  Just waiting for my friend to cut holes for back up lights in an original 64/early 65 valance I found.  And waiting for him to have a Eaton pump rebuilt.  Did get my suspension back from Marcus and it looks amazing.  He did a fantastic job.  Even got the jacking tabs back up after being flattened. There is even a picture of me looking at my control arms in last month's Mustang Times. Here are some before and after pics...

To assist in the installation, there's a hole template in the 65 Electrical Assembly Manual (AM008P70). It does not have the locations' of the holes, however, I have made some measurements of originals.

I think I got something from you or someone that has the shape of the hole and approximate measurements. I taped that to the valance when I bought it back to my friend's shop to get the holes cut and then need to get over to the paint shop with the original valance to get it color matched..

Suspension looks nice. Never seen a yellow mark on the upper ball joint by the zert plug. Not sure where that came from for a 65-66 but I would remove it if it were mine before I installed them.

Seen some NOS ball joints with the paint daub, probably where it came from.  I don't recall finding it on any assembly line control arms though.

Jeff brought the yellow paint dab by the grease fitting to my attention.  Thanks for that.
I wanted to go thru all the original 65/66 control arms I have before I responded, but could not find any yellow paint dabs.  Doesnt mean they were never there....I would need to completely take the control arms apart and degrease to see if there is any yellow there.  Hard to do when they are assembled.

I will keep my eye open for this detail as I am restoring control arms and confirm if I find any with this in the future.

Marcus:  Check any NOS ball joints you may have, I believe you'll see color markings on at least some of those.  The thing is, we don't know if the assembly line joints had the same marking.
